The Train Station

Architectural styles of train stations span the range of plain and simple, utilitarian in nature, to the more elaborate Baroque and Victorian. Train stations and rails evoke feelings of romance and luxury travel for many, but for me there has always been a more fundamental feeling of intrigue.

I have always been attracted to buildings with character, rooted in America, and those which I know hold many stories left untold. One such attraction is The Train Station I frequented as a youngster and it still offers much mystic. I tried to capture and preserve on canvas a simplicity of line and color, and perhaps a bit of those memories.
